This reading course is designed to help the young reader really get started with the reading process. The student will gain new reading skills and have fun practicing comprehension skills.

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
Beginner Level
This class includes practice of alphabet phonics as they apply to reading. Each week the student will have two classes focused on a specific letters and reading skills. We will practice reading skills using demonstration and active participation. The student will have the opportunity to participate in blending, reading, listening, and writing. We will also learn to answer questions about the reading to gain skills in comprehension. I can adjust the difficulty of the curriculum based on the class need. I will stay aware of the students' needs and interests and adjust class content accordingly for the maximum learning benefit for each student. Students should know letter sounds. This ongoing course will run for 8 weeks and can be repeated for more practice. As the student gains reading skills there will be opportunity for more advanced classes.

Continue blending and building reading confidence 25 mins online live lesson

Pre-Requisites
Basic knowledge of most letter sounds will set the student up for success in this class.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
