In this one-time class, we will learn and practice the Filipino alphabet and the letter sounds. This is a basic step in reading Tagalog well. The students will have an understanding of Filipino pronunciation.

Learning to read and speak in another language brings wonderful benefits. This class is perfect for beginner students who want to learn the basics of reading in Filipino (Tagalog) and develop Tagalog pronunciation. Students will learn the Filipino alphabet, letter sounds, and pronunciation. Since this is a one-time class, I recommend this to children who already knows the English alphabet. We will go through the steps of reading by syllables, then words. We will then practice reading using digital flashcards or slides. The students will be given a chance during class to apply and exercise their new knowledge through reading common words, phrases, and sentences. We will then learn and identify the numbers 1-10.
