Class Experience

During this ongoing class, students will learn how to create doodles with the realization that all doodles are actually a collection of basic shapes! So, as long as you can draw squares, circles, and triangles you can become a doodle master! Doodling can help you reconnect with your emotions. Regularly practicing doodling can keep you calm and generally improve your mood. Students will learn how this art form can be a meditative and calming process.

As the teacher, I will guide the students step-by-step through the doodling process and draw alongside them. Each time we meet, we will learn about new things to draw like flowers, animals, people, characters, nature, different kinds of foods, monsters, household items, etc.

In the materials section below, you can find everything that you will need for this class.

Learning Goals

Students will learn the basic elements of design and create doodles by applying them with a specific aesthetic intent.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Nikki and I am a teacher of many things! I am passionate about art, video games, animation, technology and leadership. I have a college degree in animation.. how COOL is that!?

My classroom is very relaxed and even though all of my lessons have structure, everyone is free to make creative choices and customize their projects any way they like. My teaching style is very patient, very kind and I like to make students laugh, smile and have fun learning.

When I'm not teaching, I play video games with my family. I have two kids - ages 15 and 6 and a cat. But my cat doesn't play video games.. he doesn't have thumbs! :) Our favorite games to play are:
 -- Minecraft
 -- Roblox
 -- Mario
 -- Among Us
Just to name a few ;)

This is me! Hope to see you in the classroom soon!
