US Grade 3 - 4
In this ongoing course, learners will prepare for the Trinity GESE exam at Grades 3 and 4. This is a class focusing on speaking and listening at A2 Level. GESE exams are one-to-one, face-to-face assessments of English language speaking and listening skills with a Trinity examiner, who encourages the candidate to show what they can do through prompts and authentic interactive dialogue. The exam length is 5-25 minutes depending on the grade. This course has been created by a previous Trinity GESE Examiner to help learners succeed in their exam. What will be covered in the course? Week of 11/11/24 - Asking simple questions about everyday life Week of 18/11/24 - Words and phrases relating to functions Week of 25/11/24 - Jobs Week of 2/12/24 - Places in the local area Week of 9/12/24 - Future events Week of 16/12/24 - Home life Week of 23/12/24 - Weather Week of 30/12/24 - Ordinal numbers from 1st to 31st Week of 6/1/25 - Talking about past events Week of 13/1/25 - Talking about future plans and intentions Week of 20/1/25 - Words and phrases relating to functions Week of 27/1/25 - Ordinal numbers from 1st to 31st Week of 3/2/25 - Talking about past events Week of 10/2/25 - Holidays Week of 17/2/25 - Shopping Week of 24/2/25 - School and work Week of 3/3/25 - Hobbies and sports Week of 10/3/25 - Food Week of 17/3/25 - Weekend and seasonal activities Week of 24/3/25 - Adverbs of frequency, e.g., sometimes, often, never Week of 31/3/25 - Adverbial phrases of frequency, e.g., every day, once a week Week of 7/4/25 - Expressions of past time Week of 14/4/25 - Giving information about myself Week of 21/4/25 - Describing daily routines and times Week of 28/4/25 - Giving dates Week of 5/5/25 - Expressing ability and inability Week of 12/5/25 - Giving simple directions and locations Week of 19/5/25 - Describing activities Week of 26/5/25 - Describing states in the past Classes will repeat. This is an ongoing course so you can join at any point. Classes will come with activity sheets to reinforce learning. Some activities will be completed in class. Some will be completed after class.
