- Students will learn and practice third grade spelling words. This class meets the 3rd Grade Common Core English Language Arts standards L.3.2 (Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.) and L.3.2e (Use conventional spelling for high-frequency and other studied words and for adding suffixes to base words.).
I have a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education and taught in primary (1st-3rd grade) classrooms for six years. I have an ESL endorsement and have more than six years of experience teaching online classes for kids.

- Paper and pencil - Weekly spelling sheet (posted in the Outschool classroom) - A folder or notebook to store weekly work
- YouTube: YouTube video links for the introduction, dictation sentences, and spelling test videos are shared in Classroom Posts. Outschool embeds these links on its platform so that learners remain on the Outschool platform and don’t access the YouTube website. - Kahoot!: The teacher creates a Kahoot! spelling game for students to practice their spelling words and will share the link upon request. An account is not required to use this resource and students do not need to use their real names when playing the Kahoot! game.
