In this fun and interactive class, students will learn the basic skills of addition. I will introduce "Gus the Plus" and discuss important math terms and what it means to add. Math vocabulary words that we will cover include: Addition, Equal sign, Equation, Sum. The students will also be introduced to different strategies (number bonds, ten-frame) to find the solution to an addition equation. Students will use manipulatives, drawing, games, writing expressions and equations to practice addition. Students should have a beginning understanding of addition. Recognize written numbers up to 10.

Supply List
1 File available upon enrollment. 10 small counters to use to count. Pencil and paper.
