Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
In this flex class, students will watch a video each week to learn about something in space. I will be using a green screen so students will feel immersed in space. We will explore actual photos of space and do crafts and experiments that might even be edible. Each week will be something new about Space. Full list of each week can be seen below with new sections starting each month.

Along with Science knowledge, learners will practice social and core skills such as counting, spelling, language, reading and writing.

Each Monday, I will post the video along with with any supplies needed for the craft or experiment within the video.
The videos range from 15-20 minutes each. Some crafts and experiments require adult supervision. Some weeks will need an adult present. See the list of materials each week and use your discretion as to whether your child will need help.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from University of Central Florida
I am Kaitlyn and I teach all things Theatre, English (grammar, story time, literature, ABC's, etc...), communications (such as reporting and anchoring), Science, History, crafting/DIY, and baking/cooking.
I am a published author of the books "I Will Always Love You" and "Love Moves Forward" on Amazon. I majored in Communications at the University of Central Florida, minored in Theatre, and participated in a special leadership program with an emphasis on education. I took classes on reporting, anchoring, journalism, finding a news story, teleprompter, and camera presence. I have been acting on the stage since I was 4 years old and have done multiple things on film, including a movie and few tv shows. In college, I worked with local schools, focusing on multiple subjects. I worked in Marketing for 5 years before becoming a stay at home mom. I currently teach English as a second language (ESL) for a company called VIPKID and have been doing that for a year and half. I teach ages 3 - 16, everything from ABC's to grammar specifics. I have two boys at home so I am a pro at figuring out crafts to keep them entertained and baked goods to keep them happy.

I also lived in a travel trailer for over two years and did a ton of traveling!

I am all about a hands on and interactive approach. I like kids to get their hands dirty whether that be in the kitchen, crafting a masterpiece, performing a monologue, or reading from a teleprompter. I love seeing that lightbulb click when a student gets something and when they are excited to learn.

I love spending time with my family and all things outdoors, whether it be riding a jet ski or 4 wheeler to camping adventures.
