Come and join us as we explore the core myths of Ancient Greece! Each week we will focus on a different myth in a fun and interactive way (eg the Twelves Labours of Hercules, Athena and Arachne, etc). The course aims to provide learners with foundational knowledge of Greek Myths and examine how important these myths were both then and now! Learners will develop critical thinking skills as they listen to the stories and discuss key the themes, ideas, and morals of each tale. Learners will also respond creatively through drawing, acting, etc! Week of 25/11/2024 - Jason and the Golden Fleece Week of 02/12/2024 - Curiosity Killed the Cat: Prometheus and Pandora Week of 09/12/2024 -Journey to the Underworld: Demeter and Persephone Week of 16/12/24 - Perilous Pride: Athena and Arachne Week of 23/12/24 - Daedalus and Icarus Week of 30/12/24 - The Amazing Battle: Theseus and the Minotaur Week of 6/1/2025 - The Race for Love: Atalanta and the Golden Apples Week of 13/1/2025 - The Hunt for Medusa's Head: Perseus Week of 20/1/2025 - The Twelve Labors of Hercules Week of 27/1/2025 - Woeful Wishes: Midas and the Golden Touch Week of 3/2/2025 - Helios and Selene: The Sun and the Moon Week of 10/2/2025 - Beauty and the Beast: Cupid and Psyche Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include Q&A, quizzes, games, worksheets, videos and much more. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs.
