Class Experience

In this one-time math class, learners will learn what an equivalent fraction is and how to create equivalent fractions. I will teach students about fractions through slides and allow them to practice through interactive activities.

Students will be able to interact with me and others by asking questions, discussions and by sharing their ideas during our class. As the teacher, I will create a learning environment where students feel comfortable sharing and asking questions.

I am a 4th grade teacher and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in social studies. This is my fourth year teaching. I have also taught 6th and 7th grade English/Language Arts for one year. In my fourth grade classroom, I teach math, reading, writing and social studies.

Also, I have always enjoyed watching baseball and it is my favorite sport! I find baseball statistics interesting and like thinking about how baseball and math are related.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Nearpod

35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

We will use Nearpod.com which requires parental consent. Students do not need an account. They will click on a link that I share in the Zoom chat to get to the website.
