If continuing to practise, students will be able to see and feel themselves improve throughout the class. At the end of the course, I will create and provide each student with a conclusion video that will demonstrate the skills they have learned and mastered, thus showing their improvement throughout the course.Class Experience
If you are interested in learning how to reach a competitive skill level (or just winning more matches and tournaments) in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, than this is the right class for you. Each week, a small group of students will play in matches together to improve their skills in the game. Though sometimes we will have fun with all the stages and items, for the most part, students will compete in one-on-one competitive matches. While some students are battling, others will discuss how the match is playing out, and what strategies seem to be working or not working. After each match, we will discuss as a whole group how we can improve. In this course, I will personally monitor the student's progress using the replays from their matches during the live classes. I will then provide students with personalized feedback to practice before the next weeks class. At the end of the course, I will present a personalized feedback video identifying their strengths, improvement in the course and final conclusion. Students are encouraged to work on their identified areas of improvement during the week in online matches. However, with all that being said, our small group will enjoy playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate together.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to build on their strengths and improve their weaknesses.
Students will learn to analyze their own gameplay in order to realize what strategies might not work.

Students will learn pro-level techniques, such as buffering or proper shield dropping
Students will learn how to set up their controllers in an optimal way for their style of gameplay.
Students will learn official/standard tournament rules, including stage lists.
Over all else,

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Teacher expertise and credentials
As I am qualified as a Primary/Junior teacher, I have taught a range of students between kindergarten and grade 6. During this time, I covered all curriculum subjects (math, language, social studies, science, health, physical education, etc.)
I have experience teaching in a high school (Grade 9, 10, 11 and 12) Communications Technology classroom, as well as leading summer camps teaching photography and stop motion animation.
In my personal life, I enjoy completing media projects, such as web design, videography, photography, graphic design. Before becoming a teacher, I earned an undergraduate degree in Media Studies, with a diploma in Media Communications. During this program, I practiced these media-related skills, and I now use them to use for freelance marketing for small businesses.
I also have an interest in fandoms that students might enjoy classes themed around, such as Harry Potter, Pokemon, etc. I have enjoyed many pop-culture fandoms throughout my life, and thus I can speak to years of experience learning about lore and facts about the different series.
