In this ongoing life skills course, we look at a different scenario each week. Learners share their ideas through discussion and debate. Learners will develop their confidence in speaking. Please note: This is for ESL Beginner A1+ Learners. We will use a variety of teaching methods such as questioning to think outside the box. Each week has a different focus and aims to engage learners through discussion. Week of 10/6/24 - The importance of body language in public speaking Week of 17/6/24 - Effective techniques for managing nervousness before a speech Week of 24/6/24 - Structuring a compelling presentation: Introduction, body, conclusion Week of 1/7/24 - Utilizing visual aids effectively to enhance your message Week of 8/7/24 - The power of storytelling in public speaking Week of 15/7/24 - Engaging your audience through active listening and interaction Week of 22/7/24 - Overcoming common speaking challenges like stuttering or filler words Week of 29/7/24 - Incorporating humour appropriately to connect with your audience Week of 5/8/24 - The art of persuasive speaking: Crafting and delivering convincing arguments Week of 12/8/24 - Using vocal variety and tone to convey emotion and emphasis Week of 19/8/24 - Developing confidence through practice and rehearsal techniques Week of 26/8/24 - Handling unexpected situations or distractions during a speech Further classes will be added.
