Class Experience

Students will develop their knowledge about rendering character construction in a step by step process that includes figure drawing, basic anatomy, dynamic posing, cel shading, detailing, and reaching one to one likeness in your artwork. Shapening skills like these enable anyone to be able to draw anything.
As an artist I have 25 years of professional experience as a published artist. To this day I have produced illustration, comics, and graphic design as a freelancer for many happy commisioners.
In this class homework is essential. It will require sketchbook work given after every class. Every week a minimum of five pages of work needs to be completed.
Large sketchbook
Mechanical pencil
Set of graphite pencils and sharpener
Set of micron ink pens
Set of coloring pencils or copic markers
Digital tablet (optional)
In the class we have intermittent "Sketch checks" where each student progress is observed and guided during each class. As well as homework critiques at the beginning of every class.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
This is safe class that is focused on the development of young artists. This class only uses material that is age appropriate.
