During this one-time beginner-friendly class, we will be drawing a Pokémon! Depending on the complexity of the Pokémon, we may do one or more. If students cannot pick a Pokémon to draw through a vote, I will pick one out of a basket. We will break down the shapes of the creature and then create more complexity until it is complete. Using the fundamentals of drawing, we will sketch it out first, then ink it, and lastly, we will color it. This is a fun exercise to help students with their creative process and to better understand how things are made up of basic shapes. Practice makes progress!

I've been drawing since childhood where I started learning how to draw horses. From there, I never stopped and moved on to drawing different animals and cartoon-style people. I began naturally teaching my friends and classmates at an early age, which has developed in my love of teaching today. I earned my Bachelor of Art degree in 2015 and spend time teaching my own children to draw and also making web comics.
