Student and teacher will begin with greetings! Student will watch teacher demonstrate steps in drawing the house. Students will follow along and be encouraged to add their own style and ideas to the drawing. Teacher will provide step by step instructions. Teacher will share drawing tips and tricks and discuss what differentiates this haunted house and a typical house. Teacher will then talk about how to create patterns, where to get ideas for patterns and demonstrate patterns. Teacher will also encourage students to embrace mistakes in drawing and move passed them. Students can socialize during the draw time by commenting on others drawings and adding ideas for the house and perhaps sharing their Halloween plans. Students need no prior drawing experience, just a willingness to try!
Learning Goals
Of course the first goal is to have fun! The next would be to come away with a project they enjoy!
