Class Experience

Hi friends! In this ongoing course, students will learn to create a new popsicle stick craft each week. Learners will be given instruction on how to make each weeks craft, and will be guided and encouraged throughout the lesson. This class will also be social, so learners will be encouraged to chat while we are crafting together! My goal is to always ensure your child feels safe and comfortable to participate! No prior knowledge or experience is required to participate, but students should feel comfortable with using scissors and glue.

Ciao a tutti! My name is Ms. Feli and I am excited to meet you!

I was born in Trieste, Italy and moved to the United States with my family when I was nearly 5 years old. I grew up in a bilingual household where both American and Italian cultures and traditions were considered very important, as well as learning about, and embracing new cultures. As an adult, I've continued expanding my knowledge on different cultures, languages, and traditions by traveling all over the world and living abroad with my husband. I have lived in Italy, Turkey, Japan, Guam, and of course- the U.S.A. I currently reside in Texas with my amazing husband, two loving & energetic sons, two adventurous tortoises, and our sweet pup.

I will be offering Italian introductory lessons for young children, as well as other courses that will help little ones explore their creative sides!

As a stay at home mom, I am constantly trying to find ways to help my sons learn and explore through play. I will have various lessons with activities that will work on enhancing your child’s fine motor skills, sensory development and knowledge of introductory preschool material.

I truly believe that children learn best through conversation and play, so my classes will be inviting, light and inclusive. We will play games, do group activities and discussions, and some sort of art activity. I use several props to engage the children in the lesson, and will encourage them to participate if comfortable.

I have my Bachelor's in Human Services with a concentration in Clinical Services from the University of Delaware. Originally, my plan was to become a social worker. However, I have come to realize that my true passion is being able to be a stay at home mom. Also, learning English at such a young age has shown me just how important it is for children to be exposed to different languages at a young age. I hope to get to meet your little ones!
