The structure of the class will be as follows;

Introduction:
We will look at example vector portraits, and discuss what we see, and how we think they have been made.

Students will be shown a Vector Portrait created in Adobe Illustrator, and the breakdown of how it has been made.

Demonstration:
Live demonstration showing students the different stages of making a vector portrait, using various tools. If students technical set up allows, students are encouraged to follow the steps themselves on their own software. Otherwise, they can write notes, and/or sketch out the steps.

Other Details

Pre-Requisites
Students should know about the type of software we are going to look at in the lesson, and have some experience of using it, or a similar software. An interest in vector art, and portraits would also be helpful.
Supply List
Students will need to have Adobe Illustrator downloaded onto their computers. Or they may choose to write notes as I carry out a demonstration. Students may then choose to download Adobe Illustrator after the session and use their notes to create their piece.

Parents may need to purchase on students behalf. There is a student plan available - but please read the eligibility information, and terms and conditions regarding the subscription going forward.

If students do have the software, they should have a photo accessible on their computer to use to engage with the activity. This may be a portrait of themselves, or a pet.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I'm Zoe R! On Outschool, the classes I am initially hoping to teach are digital workshops/classes using Adobe Software - including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I am also happy to offer one-to-one tuition should any parents request this.

I have taught GCSE Graphic Design/Communication since 2009 - in 3 different schools/colleges, and have also taught Cambridge Technical, and A-Level in Graphics, and Photography at points. I have taught Art to 11 - 14 year olds previously, as well as BTEC Creative Digital Media Production to 14 - 16 year olds. As you can see, I love the creative subjects, and like to give students to the skills to produce their creative ideas. I am passionate about teaching digital skills. I am an Adobe Education Leader, and also have an Adobe Creative Educator Level 2 Accreditation.

In the past I have had ice skating lessons, and performing a Musicals on Ice show at Christmas. I have also been in the audience of various TV show recordings.
