What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this class, the students will be introduced to and have opportunities to practice speaking and listening through virtual chat. The students will be actively engaged as we discuss the ways we can have good manners while having online discussions. Some of the discussion questions will include, "What do I do if I want a turn to speak?" and "What does it look and sound like when someone else is speaking?" This class will be easy and laid back, but the students will receive encouragement for participation. The students will begin class by introducing themselves and telling us one of their favorite games they like to play. After introductions, we move onto coloring where the student can bring a picture to color or I have included a picture to download and print. During coloring time the students can practice taking turns speaking and listening. At the end of class the students will be encouraged to share their pictures to each other which will also help to reinforce the skills learned in the class. The student will have multiple opportunities to practice their speaking and listening skills when taking this class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! My name is Anarah, Ana for short. I have my Bachelor's degree in Education and have taught Kindergarten for 6 years, taught Second Grade for a year, and am now teaching Fourth Grade! I absolutely love to teach and I am so excited to be bringing my experience to help you and your students have some fun while learning new skills!! My favorite things to teach are reading and writing. I enjoy building strong relationships with my students which I believe will help them in their learning process. I teach with an "I do, we do, you do" model where the children are able to see me model the activity, practice it together, and then have a chance to apply their learnings themselves. I am excited to meet new friends and I look forward to working with your child in class!
