This is a hands-on science and art class that combines the love of Clay and science. In this class students will build a model of the Respiratory System and learn fun facts about the human body. This class will cover the main parts of the Respiratory System including the Nostrils, Trachea, Bronchi, Lungs, and the Diaphragm. At least 4-5 cans of modeling Clay or Play-doh will be needed. Play-doh is easier to mold for this project. Students will be given step-by-step instructions on how to build this model. Please print the attached worksheet located in the classroom section. This class is part of a series of classes and can be taking together or separately. The series includes; Circulatory System Respiratory System Nervous System Digestive System A certificate will be emailed out after each class.
Learning Goals
Students will build a lung model and learn the 5 major parts of the Respiratory System.

I have my Gifted and Talented endorsement and have taught STEM for K-5th grade for over 10 years. I teach both K-5 in a public school classroom and I am a homeschool mom that loves the process of educating students.
