For 6 weeks we will learn to cast on, knit, purl and knitting in the round, all while completing 3 fun projects. (washcloth, Scarf, hat)
Class experience
In this Flex Class, students will learn the casting on, knit and purl stitch, and how to bind off or stitch ends together. This is a six week class, where each week a video will be loaded to the classroom along with a pdf of the pattern for that weeks project. In the video I will walk the students through how to start and complete each project, along with covering each stitch in that weeks project pattern. I am a homeschool mom of 20+ years. I have a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology. I also have been knitting for 20+ years. I love knitting and I use this skill as a way to relax everyday.
Homework Offered
Students must be willing to put in the time to complete their projects each week so that they can continue developing their skills and start more complex projects.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

Students will need yarn in worsted weight. Knitting needles sizes 6, 7, 8 (this is to help them learn about gauge and finding the size needle that is best for them. I recommend wooden circular needles as this is easier for students to handle. stitch markers, scissors, and printed pattern provided by the teacher.
