My goal is to teach the student how to teach themselves. I cover basic theory, technique and fundamentals on saxophone that allow them to thrive outside of lesson times and to take their musical development into their own hands.

1-2 hours per week. I will assign a portion of the lesson as review throughout the week that the student can work on and will always give them the option to work on more material as well.Grading

Beginner - Advanced Level
I like to tailor my lessons to the students' wants and needs. I teach the fundamentals of saxophone playing (i.e. hand positioning, finger placement, technique) while correcting bad habits early on that allow for accelerated growth. The focus of my classes involves the heart of what makes music so enriching and that is playing. I want each of my students- no matter where they are in the development- to be able to play and have fun on their instrument. Whether it's reading a song out of a book or learning a song by ear off of a recording, I want the student to develop a personal connection to their saxophone that may stay with them for a lifetime.
