Class Experience

Welcome to the ABC Club! In this class, learners will learn their ABC letter sounds, be able to identify the uppercase letter/lowercase letter, items that begin with that letter and how to write each letter correctly. They will learn and focus on one letter of the alphabet in each class.

In this class, we focus on learning the 26 letters of the alphabet, one letter at a time. We will see and hear a poem that is focused on the letter of the week. We will learn how to write the upper and lower case letter and practice making the letter sound. We will learn how to write the uppercase letter and the lowercase letter. Then students will be guided to a directive drawing that goes with the letter we learning about.

The activities that we do in this class will help students with their letter identification, beginning phonics skills, phonemic awareness, and handwriting.

This class is great for students who are beginning to learn their alphabet and letter sounds, or students who could use a little reinforcement. It is great for preschoolers and kindergarteners. This will help review and go over the ABCs that these students are just being introduced to by practicing the letters in a variety of ways. This class does not teach blending words, blends, or any explicit decoding. This class will help your child to build a strong foundation with their ABCs. This class focuses on letter identification, letter formation, phonetic sounds, and beginning sounds in a fun way.

This is an ongoing class, so students can come at any time that the class is running. Students will not need to know or complete the directive drawings from previous classes. Students will do fine in class if they come in and out as they please. It is so exciting to continue to work with the same group of friends as we move on from one letter to next!

This will be a fun and interactive class, where we will go an adventure together to find words that begin with the focus letter for that day. Learners can bring something to class each time that begins with the letter we are talking about in class.

Since we will be learning a different letter in each class, learners can join at anytime and do not need to have been in previous classes to be successful in the current class. Feel free to join at any anytime!

At the beginning of each week, I will send out a classroom message with the handout for class and letting you know the letters that we will be learning that week.
