In this 1 time class, students will use the area model strategy to learn how to multiply 2 digit by 2 digit numbers.

Student will learn about 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication problems using the area model. This is used when completing bigger multiplication problems. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know! We will have so much fun learning about the area model, we will forget we're doing 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication problems!! :-) *If there is only one learner enrolled and the student does not show up at the beginning of class, I will wait in class for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes has gone by, I will exit the classroom.*

Students will improve their understanding of multiplication through the use of the area model method.

Welcome! My name is Anna W. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University and a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University. I also have an ESOL endorsement and a reading endorsement.
I have been in the education field for five years, I have been a substitute teacher in the past and now I am a certified school teacher. I have taught kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grades. I have a diverse background with all different age groups. I have also taught ESL online part-time for the past year.
I absolutely love being a teacher! I enjoy teaching all different topics/subjects. I consider myself a lifelong learner, often times I even learn from my students.
