This self paced class is perfect for learning the step by step process of creating an intermediate level Standing Dragon with clay. This class is Level 2, it is highly recommended to take Level 1 Sleeping Dragon prior to this class. This class covers the usage of tools, supplies, conditioning the clay medium, and creating proportionate sections by eye. Tips and tricks are included as well. Students will learn the steps needed to create each portion of your adorable miniature Dragons....

This class is Level 2, it is highly recommended to take Level 1 "Sleeping Dragon" prior to this class.
Polymer Bake Clay (any brand you prefer. I like to use Sculpey III). *In total, approximately 2oz. of clay is plenty!* Whatever colors you want for your dragon. At least one main color and an accent color. Note: I often use Translucent polymer clay for wings, but you can use any color you wish. Basic Sculpting tools: Something for smoothing pieces together, rolling, cutting, and a dotting tool (or end of small paintbrush) for eye sockets 1/2 of a wood toothpick OR 1" metal wire to attach head to body OPTIONAL: Small/Medium GLASS beads/crystals for eyes (4.0 size works nicely). Larger glass bead, marble or gemstone for holding (as in samples) A Baking sheet covered in parchment or aluminum foil A non stick surface to work on (You can cover a piece of cardboard with parchment paper and tape it to the bottom…that works) OPTIONAL: Clear water based glaze for after baking **Polymer clay requires baking according to the package direction. (Generally ~275 °F, depending on your brand of clay). You may do this after class. Parental help is necessary.
