This class is for absolute beginners. We will learn to read and write the Aleph Bet, aka the Hebrew Alphabet. This is a teacher-guided class based on my book, "Read, Write, Recite Hebrew" which is a required book for the class. Each student has to have their own copy of the workbook, so if siblings will be attending the class, each sibling will need a copy. I highly suggest not missing any classes, so please check your schedule to make sure you can attend each class. Because it is only 6 classes, attendance is crucial. We will be working page to page in the book and, based on the level and momentum of the class, we will learn a bit of Hebrew conversation. CLASS ONE: Learn the first five letters of the Aleph-Bet (Letters Aleph-Hay) and to say, "Hello, I am _________." CLASS TWO: Learn the next five letters of the Aleph-Bet (Letters Vav-Yud) and to say, "Who are you?" CLASS THREE: Learn the next three letters of the Aleph-Bet (Letters Kaf-Mem), one may letter be for homework to encourage self-learning and build confidence in understanding. Learn to say, "This is the Hebrew language" CLASS FOUR: Learn the next few letters of the Aleph-Bet (Nun-Ayin), homework will be assigned for the letters we do not get to. We will also learn how to say, "I speak English, do you speak English?" CLASS FIVE: Learn the next few letters of the Aleph-Bet (Pay-Koof). And how to say, "Where do you live? I live in..." CLASS SIX: Learn the last few letters of the Aleph-Bet (Resh-Tav). And how to say, "yes and no" and practice the conversation we learned. The momentum of the class may vary based on the students, so I make sure to have room to accommodate learners.
