In this Tiny World Series we will focus in on creating a silhouetted wolf against the night sky full of stars and wonder as the Northern Lights dance above. Our entire drawing and painting will be done within a small square or rectangle. This is a beginner watercolor painting. No prior art skills are required but it is highly recommended that the supply list is followed. We will first start off with thinking of our shape and creating a mountain ridge. Next, we will learn to draw evergreen tree silhouettes and our wolf body and head howling at the universe. Next, we will create stars, clouds, and the magical northern lights and then finish it off with detail. Students will follow each, step-by-step, and learn different techniques to apply, not only to this drawing, but to other artwork as well. Students will then learn drawing techniques as well as how to paint with water color. In the end, students will have a fantastic, tiny world captured. Everyone is encouraged to share and comment on each other's work.
