Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
Children will need a pencil, paper, and crayons/markers/colored pencils, whichever they prefer to create their drawings. They do not need any previous art experience. This class will be a very interactive class and the children will share their thoughts and ideas with each other throughout the class. They will create a picture of something they are interested in and share it with the class. Together, we will come up with different adjectives to describe their picture. Students will then use the list of adjectives in order to create a paragraph about the picture. There will be a topic sentence, three additional sentences, and a conclusion sentence. The students will then share the paragraph with the class.
Learning Goals
The students will learn how to create a detailed paragraph that includes a topic sentence, three additional sentences, and a conclusion sentence. The students will practice using different adjectives in their sentences.
