Class experience
This is a one-on-one art tutoring class to share tips and tricks to improve your drawing skills. For 1 hour and 25 minutes you'll have the undivided attention of a professional artist to help you on whatever has you stuck. At the beginning of class, we'll talk about what kind of art you like to make. Show me 2 or 3 of your favorite pieces. Tell me what you love about them, and together we’ll decide what skills to work on today. I’ll meet you wherever you are as an artist, and I'm excited to...
This is a self-directed tutoring session. You can come to me with a specific topic you want to work on, or you can show me some of your pieces and ask for feedback on what skills to work on. I’ll do my best to show you demonstrations and work with you to improve 1-on-1.
I'm a professional scenic artist, designer, educator, and illustrator with 20+ years of traditional drawing experience and 3+ years of Procreate. I am a published author/illustrator who makes art with watercolor and Procreate, plus some other things. Please be ready with your paper and pencils or other media, or iPad with Procreate. It would be great if you have a desk lamp to shine on your paper so I can clearly see it. You'll need to run the Outschool zoom with a phone on a stand. You can purchase one, or get creative and make a contraption that points the camera straight down at your iPad on the table in front of you. You'll probably need to have the phone screen right under your chin. That lets you see what controls I'm demoing on my iPad at the same time I can see yours.
