In this beginning cooking class I will teach budding chefs to cook three easy and nutritious breakfasts. We will be making a protein fruit smoothie, a yogurt bowl, and a breakfast burrito. We will talk about the importance of food handling safety, how to read recipes, and the importance of starting each day with a nutritious meal. We will break down the three components of a healthy meal which include protein, carbohydrates and fiber. This is a hands on course. Participates will get to share what they are making, tasting, and learning with the other students as we cook. I look forward to having each participant give me their feedback at the end. Do they see themselves making these meals in the future? How would they change the recipe to make it better? What else could they make that includes all the components of a healthy meal?
