Welcome to class!

This class is an engaging and interactive program designed to explore the world of filmmaking. Through fun activities and hands-on projects, learners will explore storytelling, camera techniques, editing, and more, while fostering their creativity and imagination. Participants will create their own film script and materials to pitch to hot shot investors, in hopes to score the funding they need for their amazing film!

Participants can expect to spend anywhere from 1-3 hours per week outside of class shooting and editing their film.

Teacher Kate is an incredibly talented filmmaker, and she will guide aspiring young filmmakers through the intricacies of scriptwriting, teaching them how to craft compelling narratives that captivate audiences. They'll explore the art of creating props, casting actors, and managing logistics, gaining hands-on experience in bringing their stories to life. Throughout the camp, collaboration will be key as teens work together in virtual teams, pooling their talents and ideas to overcome challenges and prepare to turn their visions into reality.

Kate also offers 1:1 filmmaking sessions!
