Learn Spanish While Making a Christmas Scene With Modeling Clay
What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In our 30-minute class, your child will learn some key vocabulary related to Christmas and Winter while working with modeling clay. This class will be taught in English and Spanish and it is suitable for students who speak one or both languages. First, your child will learn the vocabulary through my use of many props, including puffy animals, toys and more. To reinforce their learning, they will enjoy making each item using modeling clay. Then, your child will put together all the items in a creative Christmas /Winter scene. While doing this, your child will show and identify each item in Spanish. For extra practice, as we work on our project, students will be learning key instruction words in Spanish. My classes are limited to five students so that each one will have an equal opportunity to practice and receive timely correction. I am a native Spanish speaker and an ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) certified teacher. My puppet friends and I can’t wait to work with you on this lovely project!

¡Hola! My name is Profesora Mary, and I am excited to help your child learn Spanish.
I truly love working with children with my puppet friends: Pancho, Beto, Moño, and Lucía. Your child will love learning Spanish — at their pace — while playing games and singing songs with me and my friends. Your child will also have fun through my use of many props, including puffy animals, toys and more.
My ultimate goal when I teach is to make sure that my students obtain the skills to communicate in Spanish. I do this while making sure that my students have fun while learning. My class activities help students connect the learning material to their own world, facilitating language acquisition.
Teaching and learning languages are two of my passions. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to combine them and make them my profession. There is no other job that I could enjoy more, and I love to share my enthusiasm and energy with students in my classes.
I have worked very hard to be a qualified teacher, and I have achieved this through online and in-person teaching experience and by obtaining a number of certificates related to language instruction and teaching young learners. I am a certified ELE (Español como Lengua Extranjera - Spanish as a Foreign Language) Teacher and a native Spanish speaker.
I am a mom and some of my hobbies include learning languages, making crafts and playing the flute.
I look forward to helping your child learn!
