In this beginner digital art course students will illustrate their favorite characters from Dog Man book by Dav Pilkey using Procreate app in iPad. Every week we will create a different illustration and will learn new tools an techniques.

Students will learn to use the Procreate app on their iPad by drawing and painting a character from the Dog Man book by Dav Pilkey. This class is a beginner project based ongoing class. We will complete a step-by-step illustration project each time we meet. No prior experience required. New students are welcome to join anytime! In every class we will do the fallowing -Create a new canvas, and choose the size of our digital artwork -Create layers -Use the brush library -Use the sliders to adjust brush size and opacity -Use gestures -Illustrate a character from Dog Man book -Export the project file Tentative Weekly Schedule: -Week of May 1: Drawing a Dog Man in jumping pose -Week of May 8: Draw Petey the Cat or standing Dog Man -Week of May 15: Illustrate 80-Hexotron or runing Dog Man -Week of May 22 : Draw and paint Li’l Petey Important: Students need to see my screen share in Zoom. At the same time they should be able to work on their projects on iPad. Procreate is a digital illustration app available only on iPad, and it costs $10.

Having a stylus Pen for iPad is recommended but using fingers would work too.
