This is a one-time kindergarten class where we will be learning and singing Spanish songs to introduce ourselves, how to say what day it is, and what the weather is. We will also learn how to say the tiger, fox, elephant, penguin, and kangaroo in Spanish. We will end with coloring all 5 animals on a worksheet, and watching a pre-recorded puppet show that's about a tiger on a journey to find a magical unicorn. I use hand gestures, visuals, digital slides, and games to engage different learning abilities. My teaching style is patient, respectful, and child-centered, and I give many opportunities for learners to shine in an upbeat and interactive setting. I will speak both Spanish and English during class. ¡Bienvenido! I teach the Spanish language by incorporating movement, digital presentations, and conversation to engage your learner in an upbeat and fun environment. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, and I am a former K-12 substitute teacher who worked within my local school district teaching many subjects. I utilize my own personal experience of studying, working, and living in México for 18 months in all of my classes.
I've been working with children for over 10 years and my approach is child-centered while bringing my own unique experience as a homeschool mother focused on self-directed education for my 6 year old daughter. As an active member in my own homeschool community, I create lessons that will inspire your learner to carry a life long love of learning.
My classes are very interactive in a relaxed setting so that your learner can feel comfortable. We will do fun activities and play games so that your learner can maximize their experience while learning the Spanish language. I will use English when needed and will focus mostly on speaking Spanish during the entire class.
