I have been a teacher for 9 years working with students in this age range (4 to 7 years old). During this time I have taught many different subjects, including ELA, ESL and science. I have taught students who have performed very well in school and State exams. When teaching subjects to students I believe that teaching it in a fun way allows it to be learned easier. Relating the ESL and ELA to Pokemon is a great way to make learning fun.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Because students will be practicing some action words (run, jump, hop, etc) students should have an open workout space, proper footwear, a water bottle if needed, and do adequate stretching beforehand. Parental guidance is also suggested to ensure student safety.
