This class is for intermediate ukulele players to learn favourite songs from "Encanto". We will review the basics of ukulele playing, learn new strumming techniques and chords in a joyful environment.

Intermediate Level
8 lessons//4 Weeks
 Week 1
Lesson 1
"We Don't Talk About Bruno" (part 1)
We will learn the strumming pattern for the song and also the chords and dive into the first 2 verses.
Lesson 2
"We Don't Talk About Bruno" (part 2)
We will recap the chords learned yesterday and continue to learn the song to the end and also a second strumming pattern.
 Week 2
Lesson 3
"Surface Pressure" (part 1)
We will learn the strumming pattern for the song and also the chords and dive into the first 2 verses.
Lesson 4
"Surface Pressure" (part 2)
We will recap the chords learned yesterday and continue to learn the song to the end and also a second strumming pattern.
 Week 3
Lesson 5
"What Else Can I do?" (part 1)
We will learn the strumming pattern for the song and also the chords and dive into the first 2 verses.
Lesson 6
"What Else Can I do?" (part 2)
We will recap the chords learned yesterday and continue to learn the song to the end and also a second strumming pattern.
 Week 4
Lesson 7
"Family Madrigal"
We will learn the strumming pattern for the song and also the chords and then learn the song verse by verse.
Lesson 8
"Waiting for a Miracle"
We will learn the strumming pattern for the song and also the chords and then learn the song verse by verse.
  • → Please note that this is not a class for a student who has never played the ukulele before. Students should have experience of playing at least the following chords: C Major, F Major, A Minor, G Major, G7 chords. → Please check "My Little Uke Wants to Play All Day - Absolute Beginners Ukulele" to learn some basics: https://outschool.com/classes/my-little-uke-wants-to-play-all-day-absolute-beginners-ukulele-LcuwHvwW#usuu5xarZy → Skills taught in this ongoing course: → different rhythms; → mixed/complex strumming techniques; → different fingering for more complex chords; → different time signatures; → fingerstyle picking. These skills will be repeated.

Details: Learners will be instructed to practise the chords switching and practise playing the song, so they can perform it for us in class, if they wish so.
This class will meet the needs of each type of learner, that includes kinaesthetic, visual, and auditory, through colour-coded chord sheets and visual presentations. 
→ Please note that this is not a class for a student who has never played the ukulele before. Students should have experience of playing at least the following chords: C Major, F Major, A Minor, G Major, G7 chords.
