Learn Coding With Scratch Jr - Holiday Theme Class

Lesson is aimed for pre-readers with Scratch Jr. experience.  I recommend my class - Learn Coding with Scratch Jr. - For Beginners for students new to coding.  Students will practice the basics of programming, problem solving and critical thinking skills with Scratch Jr.  

Students will learn the following in a series of classes:  
- use and code one or more characters
- change the look and size of a character
- use one or more background
- create your own character and/or background
- add voice to characters
- use command repeat 
- use speed command
- hide and show characters 
- add speech bubbles 

Each week will be a unique project.  
Week of Oct 2nd - Halloween Greeting
Week of Oct 9th - Ghost Hunters 
Week of Oct 16th - Spooky Maze
Week of Oct 23rd - Trick of Treat
Week of Oct 30th - Witch Race 
Week of Nov 7th - Turkey Trouble 
Week of Nov 14th - Disguise a Turkey
Week of Nov 21st - Gingerbread Man
Week of Nov 28th - The Grinch Stole Christmas 
Week of Dec 5th - Pete Saves Christmas
Week of Dec 12th - Christmas Greeting Card
Week of Dec 19th - Polar Express

Students will follow along with teacher as we create a new project every week. I will challenge students as needed.   **Please join on time and using a different device so students can see teacher's screen**.  

Students will need to download the app: Scratch Jr. before class.
