Once a learner understands the basics of calligraphy the possibilities for creating awesome hand-lettered words and phrases are endless! 

Students will learn basic calligraphy techniques:
- What makes calligraphy different from handwriting and cursive
- How to add and release pressure from the marker at the appropriate times
- Letter forms: both uppercase and lowercase letters
- When to pick up and put down their marker
- How to string letters together to form words and sentences 

My goal is to have your learner forming words and sentences that are fun and creative by the end of our 55min session. They will never see letters the same again- letters will become art!

*This would be a great place to start if students would like to learn traditional calligraphy with an ink dip pen. 

I am a Fine Art Letterpress Stationer and Calligrapher. That’s a whimsical way to say I make very fancy wedding invitations using calligraphy, illustration, and old print method called letterpress. As much as I love working with my brides I have a passion for teaching art to children! The skills I teach my students in Outschool are skills that I am using in my business on a daily basis!
