In this class your child will learn the basics of chess, including the names of the various pieces, how they move, and early game strategies all while playing chess matches with the teacher.

Teacher Beau prefers to let experince be the teacher. We will jump right into a match and learn the basics of chess including the names of the various pieces, how they move, and early game strategies all while playing the game itself. The teachers approach to chess is helping the student develop a love for chess by learning while playing. We will not be memorizing openings as this can be discouraging to beginners. We will be using chess.com to see the correct way to move pieces.

In this class we will be using chess.com. Please make sure you have a chess.com account and have the parental controls set that you will be able to join my match. If these are not both done you will not be able to join my match.
