We will be using Scratch to learn how to animate and code. Scratch is the world's most popular coding language for primary and middle school children and it is a really fun way to dive into the exciting world of programming.
In this lesson we will be working on a project where we will design and create a greeting card that can be shared with friends and family! Send virtual greeting to loved ones!
The programming concepts that we will be covering in this lesson include: events, decisions, conditionals ("if" and "when" statements) and variables. We'll also be exploring the creative side of programming by drawing the background and writing a funny personal message.
Our classroom sizes are small so as to provide each child with individual attention. Children will always go away from our lessons having learnt something new, even if they've taken a programming class before.
There is no prior coding experience needed at all.Learning Goals
