In this interactive one time class, we will talk about leadership development and the role that self-awareness plays as well as examine the possibilities and challenges of "leading with love" of self, community and the planet!

No prior knowledge or experience is required. Students just need an interest in developing their leadership skills! Slides will be used as well as internet tools such as Zoom chat, Padlet and Google forms in order to add to the class discussions and help students process the content being taught. Here is an overview of the class: -Welcome -Review agenda -Self awareness (what is it and how do we increase it?) -Questions to increase self-awareness (anonymous responses through Google form) -Definitions of community -What is leading with love? -Ways to "lead with love" -Ways to give love to the planet -What is one way you will commit to giving love to the planet ? (anonymous responses through Padlet) -Closing remarks and questions

My professional experience has primarily been as a mentor and advisor who assists people with achieving their ideas of success. My career began in the corporate world and then I made the shift to education, which is where I now have over 20 years of experience. My background includes High School Admissions and Student Services as well as a long history of Student Affairs at the collegiate level, including the advisement of student organizations such as clubs and Student Governments.
Education-wise, I have a Bachelor's degree in Television and Radio as well as a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
I have been facilitating workshops and serving as a keynote speaker for over 20 years for both students and professionals within different career fields. I have recently been studying topics such as mindfulness and sound healing in order to help people, including myself, to connect with themselves more and, in turn, become even better leaders.
