Class Experience

***A basic knowledge of how to ask a question could be useful, but not essential to attend this lesson***

In this lesson, your child will learn four adjectives in their French masculine form to describe the temperature of food and drink: chaud, froid, tiède, frais (hot, cold, warm, cool). He or she will also learn how to ask and answer simple questions about the temperature. To help jog their memory, the students will play the game "Qu'est-ce qui manque?" (What is missing?) with the vocabulary words as well as with the dialogues. It will be a very fun class - learning and playing with a lot of facial expressions and laughter!

Students will say the words as a group, but also one at a time. During the games, they will be able to interact and help each other find the correct answer.

Sample of the questions and answers in this lesson:
Q: Est-ce que c'est ______? (Is it ______?)
A: Oui, c'est ______. / Non, c'est ______. (Yes, it is ______. / No, it is ______.)

In my series called “Le français c'est cool” (French Is Cool) your child, through a variety of topics, will travel with me on the exciting adventure of learning French. C'est parti! (Let's go!)

Bonjour! Hello! Since I was a little girl, I have always been passionate about languages, but especially about my mother tongue: French. I was born and grew up in Montreal in a French speaking family.  I have a Bachelor in Education and a TESOL certificate. I also speak English, Spanish, and Sign Language fluently. I have been teaching languages since 2015, both online and offline. Prior to this, I was an administrative assistant.

I love teaching and having fun! According to me, a class is successful when every one is having a good time learning and has plenty of opportunities to participate and improve their skills. Therefore, even if we are having tons of fun, I make sure to pay close attention to each of my students and to challenge them when it's needed. I cannot wait to share my passion with your child/children! Let's go! C'est parti!
