This is a 1:1 homework-help session where I assist the learner with any ELA (English Language Arts) or Reading homework they have. The topics covered may include grammar, punctuation, essay writing, spelling, vocabulary usage, reading comprehension, etc. The session will be student-focused and cooperative. I firmly believe “the person who’s talking the most is learning the most.” I’ll ask probing questions and give feedback, helping the learner to articulate what they’re doing and why. 1 on 1 works well when there’s subject-focused conversation happening around the work the learner is doing. The more the learner discusses what they’re doing, the better they understand the material. The learner will not need any previous knowledge or experience to benefit. The learner WILL need homework to be worked on. I will not be preparing lessons for this class.
