In this camp, we will take a trip around the world and explore major European landmarks, learn geography, foods, fun facts and receive step by step instruction how to draw or paint famous international landmarks.

Class Experience

Pack your bags and get ready because we're taking a visual international journey to explore famous European landmarks across the world. Each day, campers will experience new sights of the world as we take a visual tour of famous international landmarks, geography of the region, foods, fun facts and will receive step by step guidance on how to create 3 famous landmarks around the globe using ink, pencil,  paint or collage as we travel across the world!

Teacher will provide a presentation and give camper step by step instruction on what the subject is. There will be times throughout the lesson that campers will be drawing independently. Teacher will be available for questions, comments, instruction and of course lots of encouragement and praise (my personal favorite!).

Learning Goals

Students will learn about geography and 3 famous European landmarks and improve in their technical skill of drawing and painting as well as gain confidence in their skill.

Pencil
Oil pastel (preferred) or crayons

Watercolors
Fine tip Sharpie
*** Teacher can usually adapt lesson if a camper doesn't have one or more of these supplies. Campers will use these supplies throughout the camp, not necessarily all during one class.

SUPPLY LIST PER CAMP DAY:
Day 1:  Paper (preferably watercolor paper or heavier weight paper e.g. card stock, multimedia paper), Oil Pastel (or crayons), Watercolor
Day 2:  Paper (same paper as above), Black or grey marker, watercolor
Day 3:  Paper, Oil Pastel

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I am a private school art teacher for more than 10 years.  I have also been a homeschool mom for more than 13 years.  I love to engage students and inspire their natural creative abilities and work together to refine and develop their skill.
