includedClass Experience
This course will cover the very basics of knitting. In the first meeting, I will cover how to hold needles, cast on, and knit. We will also talk about needle choice, yarn choice and how to read a yarn label. In the second meeting, we will share progress, and elaborate on our previous meeting by learning the purl stitch and how to cast off. This class will be teacher-led, as I will be showing students the techniques needed. However I invite students to ask for questions to trouble shoot problems. I will teach students by example and a very catchy poem that allows them to remember the knitting process more easily. I believe that inquisitive students are successful students. Outside of direct instruction, I have a very collaborative teaching style and encourage students to ask questions! No previous knitting knowledge is required!
