Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 1
  • Students will review core math concepts: -Students will practice recognizing numbers up to 20 and multiples of 10. -Students will practice counting up to twenty as well as skip counting by 2s and 10s. -Students will practice adding and subtracting digits up to ten and beyond -Students will practice recognizing 2D shapes square, circle, rectangle, triangle, pentagon, hexagon -Students will practice recognizing 3D shapes cube, sphere, circular cylinder, pyramid, cuboid, cone -Students will practice telling time by the hour. -Students will review times of day (morning, afternoon, night) and practice sequencing events.
Homeschool parent of a rising 1st grader, Background in Elementary Education
-20 of a manipulative of choice for adding and subtracting (blocks, legos, cereal, etc), or may use fingers
Parents may need to guide children in using manipulatives.
