In this 6 week class, students will learn and review 23 Kindergarten sight words from the Dolch word list by using an interactive online tool called Nearpod.com.

*Students will be introduced to 4-5 sight words per class, from the Dolch Kindergarten sight word list. *Sight words are words that show up frequently in text and cannot be easily sounded out--they often need to be learned by "sight", hence the term to describe these words. It is helpful for students to learn sight words by having multiple opportunities to practice them and to see them being used within sentences. *I will provide detailed instructions via the classroom page as to how to access and use Nearpod during class. Nearpod is an interactive online learning tool that allows for a high level of student engagement. Students will have the opportunity to write the words, find & color the words, and practice using each word in a sentence. *This class serves as a great follow-up/ review for students who have participated in my “Multisensory Kindergarten Sight Words Class” and/or "Kindergarten Sight Words With Nearpod (Class One)" ...as well as for any students currently working on learning their sight words who would like additional practice helping them “stick” ! . . . *List of sight words to be learned in this class, over 6 class meetings: 1. Supply List
Parents of learners will need to have their student access Nearpod prior to or right at the beginning of class, since learners will be utilizing this platform during each class. I will provide a handout via the classroom page with more detailed information about Nearpod.
