What are sight words? Sight words and high-frequency words are common words that appear frequently in written texts. These words are often not easily decodable using regular phonetic rules and are usually memorized by sight. Sight words are important for early readers because they make up a significant portion of the words they encounter in their reading materials. These words are often taught in early literacy programs and are emphasized in early reading instruction. By recognizing sight words automatically, children can read more fluently and with greater comprehension. Help your child master sight words and improve their reading skills with this engaging and fun class. In just 25 minutes, your child will practice 5 kindergarten sight words by playing games. In this class, there will be a different theme each week. The theme will also be seen and talked about throughout the class in a positive and friendly environment. The 5 sight words are seen and repeated many times during the class and during the game. A worksheet will be provided (for each class) and can be completed after class for extra practice. These are teacher-created game that focuses on sight word recognition. Designed specifically for young learners, this class is perfect for children who are just starting to read or struggling with sight word recognition. Class Routine: 1. Greetings 2. Introduce words and pictures 3. Play the games 4. Review the words 5. Say goodbye Themes and sight words are listed below: Cats (all, into, that, am, like) Cars (there, are, must, they, at) Dinosaurs (new, this, ate, no, too) Horses (be, now, under, black, on) Fruit ( want, brown, our was, but) Dogs (out, well, came, please, went) Fish (did, pretty, what, do, ran) Sweet Treats (white, eat, ride, who, four) Emojis ( saw, will, get, day, with) Clothes (good, she, yes, have, so) Sports (he, soon, all, no, well)
