Is your child showing an interest in reading? Do they know their letters and sounds? Then I am here to help them on their journey to becoming a reader. I am a Kindergarten teacher and I have lots of expertise teaching children how to read. We will begin with learning to read sight words. Sight words are the words that appear most frequently in our reading and writing. They are often words that are difficult to sound out and therefore simply need to be memorized. By easily recognizing these words, young readers are much more likely to approach a text with confidence. In this class, we will use interactive songs, chants, flashcards, and a game to learn the words, "was", "help", "good", "but" and "all." This class is for beginning readers who know their letters and are ready to learn some words. This is the fourth class in my series, but the classes do not need to be taken in order. Parents should be nearby to help with any technology issues but do not need to sit with their child. However, parents are welcome to sit off camera with their child if they wish or if their child needs extra support. Hope to see you in the class
