In this class, we will use a technique called word mapping to practice common CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) sight words. This class is designed for learners who are familiar with their letter sounds and simply need further practice sounding out and spelling words. Upon enrollment, you will find a printable word mapping sheet posted in the welcome message. During class, learners will use their word mapping sheet to read, write, and sound out various CVC words. Although I will not be administering a grade or formal assessment, I am happy to let parents know upon request which words their learner excelled in or struggled with.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
