US Grade Pre-Kindergarten
This is a summer class for preschool and kindergarten aged learners who are preparing for kindergarten. This class will meet once a week for 30 minutes. Students can join at any time during the summer and each class doesn't build on each other. I love to teach my students through engaging activities such as music, dance, games and engaging slide shows shared throughout class. I am currently a preschool teacher/owner during the regular school year and have taught students in a homeschool setting and dance classes. I also have my bachelors degree in elementary education. I truly love teaching! Each class we will focus on a different letter and theme. We will start class with a welcome song and days of the week. We may go over the calendar. There will be a question asked at the beginning of class to get students engaged and participate if they would like to. The theme and letter will be introduced. This could include reading a book, seeing a slide show that I create and will be shared from my screen, singing songs or dancing. I love to use my felt board to tell different stories and songs. We will learn a different letter every day and normally numbers, reading and counting will be taught along the way as well. For example, the first theme may be apples and the letter may be A. I will have slides that are shared from my screen that will teach students more about this topic. There will be activities that involve the students. The letter A will be introduced and students will practice writing on paper or using their arms. Each class will have different activities but we will follow the same routine. First 4 weeks Themes and Letter schedule Tuesday May 21st: Letter A and B- apples Tuesday May 28th: Letter C and D-dinosaurs Tuesday June 4th: Letter E and F: Exercise Tuesday June 11th: Letter G and H: Gardening I would love to teach your learner this summer!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have always loved working with kids. I am so happy to be able to teach with Outschool! I have my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and have worked in the school setting with all elementary-aged kids. I have also taught dance for several years to kids of all ages. I've danced my whole life and have experience in all styles of dance. In the past, I have worked at a homeschool, taught English online, and coached a high school cheer team and Special Olympics cheer team. I am a preschool teacher during the regular school year. I also was a college cheerleader at the university I attended in Arizona. I am a mom to a silly three-year-old girl and my sweet baby boy. I have a passion for teaching and seeing children learn new skills!
