In this fun flexible learning style class kids will get to interact with me and their virtual classmates each week by creating a short video about something they know a lot about! I will make sure kids know that I have watched their video presentations by sending every child a personal reply with fun and encouraging feedback about their video each week too. This class was created for kids to have the opportunity to practice a variety of important life skills like: 🗣️public speaking 🤩confidence building 📚organization 📝 preparation 🎙️oral presentation skills 👨🎓All these will help prepare them to use these skills successfully as they grow up and become young adults who will need to use them for high school college or a career. 🎨They will also be able to illustrate ( draw ) a simple drawing they can use to teach me and the class about some of their favorite things that they know a lot about. Cause in this class… 🧑🏫 Kids get to be the teachers! 👧By allowing learners to take on the role of “the teacher” children get to practice public speaking skills, speaking with purpose and communication skills! 📚This flexible learning style class gives children a chance to learn important organization skills and is also a fun and simple introduction on how to give an oral presentation. I designed this 4 week asynchronous course to accommodate both homeschoolers and children who attend traditional school setting as well. 👨🎓 These are skills they will utilize from their early elementary years all the way through the college years! (Although your child hey may not need to give presentations just yet, learning these skills now will help set them up for success later in middle school, high school and beyond!) ⏰ Parents should expect to spend about 45 minutes - 1 hour each week helping their student choose, plan and prepare their presentation to send to me for personal feedback. 🎖️ Kids who complete the course will receive a Personalized Certificate Of Excellence for their hard work to show off to friends and family too! If you still have questions, please feel free to reach out to Miss Anna directly via Outschool messaging.😃 -What Should My Child Expect? 💻 Each week the kids and I will exchange short videos ( a lot like virtual pen pals) while kids get to proudly teach me and the class about their favorite things by presenting their facts and teaching me and other kids in a video they can record on a phone, tablet or computer. 💌 In return each child who participates will receive positive feedback from Miss Anna by receiving a personalized video via a private a personal message to their learner inbox to eagerly await! 🥰 It is a great way for children to share their thoughts and opinions with someone who is always here to listen and truly care what they have to say! -What Can Parents / Guardians Expect…. 💻There will be a video posted with brief instructions each week. Each video will be about 5 minutes long and will be posted in the classroom every Sunday for kids to watch when it is convenient for them. 🐕🦺 In this video I will discuss a broad theme about something kids relate to! 👩🏫Kids will then choose what they would like to teach me about in the upcoming week. -Can kids teach Miss Anna and the other kids about pretty much anything they want? Yes! There is a specific theme each week so all the kids are teaching about a similar topic, BUT, they have a lot of freedom to choose anything they want within the theme.. Things like Toys, Flowers, Sea Animals, Dinosaurs, Books, Dragons, Pet Rocks, the sky is the limit! -When do kids complete this video assignment? 🤗The flexible learning style of this class means kids can complete their assignment when it is convenient for them and help them learn the importance of managing their time effectively. 😉 Children will have the entire week to think, plan, draw and organize their thoughts about what they would like to teach me about to share the video with all the kids class ( or privately to just me) to help me understand what they would like me to learn. Having 7 days to complete the assignment allows time for children to do a bit of extra research about the topic as well if they would like to also! (Of course, they are welcome to complete it right away if they feel they are ready to.) -What are the weekly themes? Week 1 : Toy Theme 🚂 Week 2 : Animal Theme 🦊 Week 3: Cartoon Theme 📺 Week 4 : Hobbies Theme 🪀 -Do kids need help with this assignment from an adult? 👍Most will, yes. Please note that is class is meant for children to record an actual mini lesson for the teacher. The help of a parent or adult will likely be needed to provide assistance on recording on a phone, lap top or tablet .....and then uploading a short 3 - 5 minute video into the virtual classroom space each week to complete their assignment. 🤩 THIS IS A WONDERFUL OPPERTUNITY FOR PARENTS TO WORK WITH THIER HOMESCHOOLERS ON ORGINAZATION SKILLS AND TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS TOO! 📱Adults are welcome to help their children post their weekly presentation videos in the classroom post or can simply upload it for them. -Can kids interact with other kids? 💬Yes. All the kids can send written messages to each other in our virtual classroom too! The other kids in class are all encouraged to offer kind and positive comments about each other’s short presentations by utilizing the comment box under each weekly assignment as well! 💻While all students are encouraged to share their videos with me and the class in the class post, students can also opt to send videos directly to the teacher ( me ) if they choose not to share with the class. Kids would do this by simply selecting the teacher tab in the classroom and uploading videos there instead or the class sharing video post. 👩🏫I will keep this weekly class interactive by sending follow up questions to each learner and giving positive feedback in the form of a video response about what they have taught me! 💻 Please feel free to reach out to me via Outschool Messaging with any questions!

While this class does not specifically cater to Neurodivergent, it is very well suited for kids with ASD, ADHD, and Anxiety because it allows students to work at thier own pace! Many ND children enjoy my Flexible Learning Classes.
Parental Guidance
Hi Parents & Guardians:
There will be a series of pre-recorded videos recorded by myself posted in the classroom.
This will include introduction video for students and adults to view and learn how to manage and post videos with me.
